What it is
Predicting Acoustic Performance Before Works Begin
RT60 – Reverberation Time 60dB – is the time it takes for sound to decay by 60 decibels after the source stops. It is the fundamental measure of whether a room sounds good or bad for its intended use.
We use RT60 modelling to predict how a space will perform before any acoustic materials are installed. This allows us to specify treatment with confidence – and gives clients and consultants the acoustic logic behind every recommendation.
What We Deliver
Collect Room Data
Room volume, surface areas, floor plan, and existing finishes. We can work from drawings or a site visit.
Plot Existing Absorption
Map current surface materials and their absorption coefficients to establish the baseline RT60.
Model Proposed Treatment
Add proposed acoustic products and surfaces. Iterate until the target RT60 is achieved within budget.
Document & Present
Deliver the RT60 calculation, absorption strategy, and product specification in a consultant-ready format.
